Herndon Bathroom Remodel

Our clients asked us to turn their cold and dated master bathroom into a warm and relaxing retreat. We combined the traditional look of travertine with a quartzite accent tile to add a touch of unexpected color and visual depth. Natural stone was used for the mosaic accents and trim, but for the larger field tile we used porcelain tiles with the look and feel of tumbled travertine thereby avoiding the common maintenance issues associated with the real thing. The maple vanities, linen cabinets and tub surround have a warm hazelnut stain with a java glaze that complements the tile beautifully. We enlarged the shower, relocated the plumbing and added full-height frameless glass that modernizes the overall look of this master bath. A step was added to the tub surround to provide easier access to the large whirlpool tub, which now has an attractive backsplash and large tub deck with plenty of room for candles for that relaxing spa feel.
