This Capitol Hill renovation features a classic black and white kitchen design with a twist. The ebony-stained hardwoods and painted window trims serve as a backdrop for the crisp white cabinets, Super White Quartzite and hand-molded subway tile. But it’s the brilliant brass fixtures and accessories that ramp up the wow factor of this elegant kitchen.
Small kitchens are always challenging, but minor layout changes can have major impact. We maximized both storage and function by turning an L-shaped kitchen into a modified U. We added furniture-style cabinetry to a formerly barren wall, creating a new zone that can be used as prep space, mini-bar or eat-in breakfast area, all while basking in the best natural light in the home.
